Meet Dr. Karlinsey
Robert L. Karlinsey, PhD is the president, principal investigator, and lead formulator of Custom Dental Formulations, LLC (CDF). He earned a BS in Physics (University of Scranton) and PhD in Chemical Physics (Indiana University), with postdoctoral work in physical chemistry (Indiana University). As a visiting assistant research professor at the Indiana University School of Dentistry, his research caught the attention of Dr. George Stookey, ultimately leading to a mentorship, and an opportunity to transition from academia. At Indiana Nanotech, LLC (no known as CDF), he refined his creations through continuous development and small-scale manufacturing activities. To date, his contributions have generated over $150M in global product sales. As principal investigator, his work has received significant funding through Federal (National Institutes of Health), State (Indiana and Texas), and industry grants and contracts. Previously, Dr. Karlinsey served as adjunct professor of chemistry at the University of Indianapolis, and Chief Scientific Officer at Therametric Technologies, Inc.
